PROJECT: Creating a brand book

Having won the tender procedures in the PROZORRO system, we were given the opportunity to modernise the identity of the National Bank of Ukraine. According to the brief, the logo and font were already agreed upon, but some changes could be proposed as part of the brand book development.

The main goal of the identity update was to reflect the changes and reforms that have been carried out at the NBU recently, to create a style that is in line with current trends, but also to maintain continuity with the style that has been familiar for decades. The NBU is the main bank of the country, and trust in it is also based on restraint and balanced decisions, so any significant changes could not be accepted by ordinary clients and partners of the bank. Therefore, what was good for the designer often did not coincide with the financier's vision. The NBU's brand book became the golden mean of these polarised approaches.
